For Fans of Football, Socialism, and Fighting Robots
The American Robot Wars, but not really, because American Robot Wars came before British Robot Wars, and American Robot Wars could also be Robot Wars: Extreme Warriors, and BattleBots was between all of those things. Here’s some content.
BATTLEBOTS 2020 COVERAGE
It’s here! BattleBots 2020 is finally here! After what’s been the most dreary, depressing and miserable of years, BattleBots is here to give us some much needed joy this Christmas, and to give us something to look back on 2020 and think of something other than Covid, Lockdown, or your trusty government showing a complete lack of understanding and compassion on either Covid or Lockdown.
The Robot Soccer League is the place to be for all things BattleBots over the coming months; weekly reviews, predictions, lists, rants, all from your favourite football/socialist history/fighting robot blogger, who is actually still alive, it’s just been a bit of a rough five months. But if anything can lift one’s spirits, it’s an all-new season of BattleBots!
Everything you want or need to know about the 2020 season can be found below. It’s officially robot fighting time!
If we weren’t already getting spoiled enough with the content Discovery channel are providing us with for the 2020 season, they’ve also given us a spin-off! BattleBots: Bounty Hunters is essentially a Robot Wars ‘Challenge Belt’-style episode, where eight robots fight it out for the right to face a “legendary” bot; Beta, Bronco, Icewave, Son of Whyachi, Tombstone, or Witch Doctor. All the more chaos for us to enjoy!
It’s back, baby! Another season of the best (and currently only) robot fighting show on television is upon us, and it’s my duty to bring as much coverage of it to you good folks as possible. Sadly, a number of factors mean I won’t be able to produce as much this year, but this is the place to be for delusional rankings, controversial opinions, and narrow-minded predictions later on during the tournament. Enjoy!
